Health, wealth and strategy

Article Abstract:

Asthma care accounts for 2% of the British health budget and is a major, chronic illness amongst children. Having a health strategy which encompasses recent scientific data about a condition can help health authorities to ensure that they provide the most effective treatments and prevention measures. Portsmouth, United Kingdom, has a health strategy for dealing with asthma and this has enabled doctors to work together with other groups on asthma awareness, prevention and service provision.
