Article Abstract:

England's CNO Chris Beasley, a top official in the government's health service modernization program believes that nurses must be proactive about proving their worth within the trusts, use their influence to change things, and evaluate their roles. She established the Modernizing Nursing Careers Board, and is developing a career framework in which change is constant and where flexibility and a willingness to seize opportunities are vital.

Forum 'fiasco' sparks call for change

The RCN council's intention to modernize and streamline its professional services to its members are abolished due to widespread opposition from forum members but instead they have opted to draw up alternative proposals for the same.
