Hysteroscopic endometrial resection versus laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy for menorrhagia: a prospective randomized trial

Article Abstract:

Laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy may be more acceptable to women with excessive uterine bleeding than hysteroscopic endometrial resection, according to a study of 181 women. Hysteroscopic endometrial resection is non-invasive and therefore takes less time. However, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy is a less invasive type of hysterectomy that can completely cure a woman's symptoms.

A prospective randomized comparison between laparoscopic and laparotomic approaches in women with early stage endometrial cancer: A focus on the quality of life

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare the quality of life (QoL) in women with early stage endometrial cancer treated with 2 different surgical approaches, laparoscopic and laparotomy. In early stage endometrial cancer, the laparoscopic approach provides significant benefits compared with laparotomy in terms of QoL.
