Women play a key role in improving the health of the world. They have been maintaining, protecting and promoting good health for themselves, their families and their communities. They should be educated on how their bodies function, the causes of diseases and how to use the information for better health.

Women and water

Article Abstract:

The participation of Botswanian women in the planning, operation and maintenance of their villages' water supply systems gives rise to various health benefits. However, their priorities will have to be reoriented and their commitment to the effort should be increased.

Invisible agents for change

Article Abstract:

The empowerment of women as equal partners is essential to make women productive agents of change. Women have remained invisible agents of change and have not been allowed to equally participate in development and its benefits.
