Initial treatment of aggressive lymphoma with high-dose chemotherapy and autologus stem-cell support

Article Abstract:

A comparative study was conducted among the patients suffering from aggressive lymphoma by giving the patients two different treatments, namely the CHOP treatment and high-dose chemotherapy along with stem cell transplantation. The results indicated that among the more serious patients, the five year survival rate was higher for those treated with high dose chemotherapy with autologus stem cell support than those treated with CHOP therapy.
