Americans will take 10 percent less vacation in 2003, down from an already relatively low 10.2 days per year. The French take 5 or 6 weeks of vacation per year. In addition 26 percent of Americans do not take vacation time at all. A break from the work routine can be beneficial though, reducing risk of heart attack and giving people a new perspective on life.??
