Learning the ropes

Article Abstract:

Jumping rope burns more calories than other aerobic exercises such as jogging and cycling. Using right size ropes, landing on the balls of the feet, keeping hands at the sides with elbows tucked in and wearing cross-trainers or aerobic shoes are essential in a jumping rope program.

A health club should be located no farther than 15 minutes from home, because motivation to exercise drops the farther away the club is located. Advertised prices should be regarded with caution, and a tour of the facility is necessary.
