Living life to the full

Article Abstract:

The Living Life to the Full project set up in 2005 and originally developed by Dr. Chris Williams, is led by Marie Chellingsworth, a mental health nurse trained in the delivery of guided cognitive behavioural therapy who works at the Broad Street Center in Nottingham. The project is designed to help people learn the skills to better equip them to deal with their difficulties in the future, and is based on the 'five-areas-approach' that looks at the impact of anxiety or depression on the five key areas in a person's life and how these interlink.

New ways to work in mental health

Article Abstract:

The National Service Framework on Mental Health was developed to provide national, evidence-based standards of care, empower and support staff, and involve patients and relatives in the planning and delivery of treatment. The government has made radical changes in its approach to mental health over the past five years from 2005, which have created new ways of working for nurses in acute adult settings.
