Mark improvements

Article Abstract:

Laser treatment is available to treat port-wine stains although there is divided opinion whether it can be used successfully on strawberry haemangiomas. Disfiguring birth marks occur in one in 300 births. Early accurate diagnosis is essential to avoid confusion. Diverse opinions may confuse parents over the most appropriate treatment. Technological advances in treatment may also contribute to confusion. Professionals may even hold superstitious opinions. Parents and children should socialise early to avoid problems of rejection.
