Measuring the frequency of mouse and human cytotoxic T cells by the Lysispot assay: independent regulation of cytokine secretion and short-term killing

Article Abstract:

Research demonstrates that the Lysispot assay in which cytokine-secreting and cytotoxic cells can be simultaneously enumerated is a powerful ex vivo analysis for measuring immune response during infection and autoimmunity. The assay consisting of antigen-specific, perforin-dependent Lysispot is combined with a cytokine Elispot to verify the independent regulation of cytotoxicity and interferon-gamma secretion.

A quantitative assay for HIV DNA integration in vivo

Article Abstract:

This article examines techniques to help the virologist study how HIV viruses interact with DNA in vivo. A quantitative assay is described that analyzes how the virus integrates its DNA into the chromosomes of its host.
