Minority physicians encourage the next generation

Dr. Maurice Sholas, a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist works on the program related to the problem of racial and ethnic disparities in health care faced by the African- American physicians. The program hopes to support new research, raise individual and institutional awareness, and develop effective and appropriate interventions to improve the health of all Americans.

They seek to find solution to the disgraceful problem of American living where many people die without health insurance.

Best form of prevention: Health education in the schools

Article Abstract:

Education among children is an important tool for helping them establish positive health habits. The research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the 1990s indicates that health education can help reduce the prevalence of risky health behaviors among young people.
