Mother knows best

Article Abstract:

Caring at home for someone who has suffered a severe head injury can be extremely difficult. The person concerned may well have unpredictable behaviour, and can often be depressed and angry. The carer must deal with problems such as lack of balance and short-term memory loss, and often has to be with the injured person throughout the day and night. Families caring for a person in this situation often receive little outside help or advice.
