NT campaign backs nurses

Article Abstract:

The way in which the campaign 'Keep It Clean: back nurses to fight infection' helped nurses in the UK to get support, resources and a louder voice in the fight against health care-associated infections is presented. It revealed that most respondents did not feel that they had enough resources and support to tackle the problem.

No room for compromise on HCAIs

The Healthcare Commission has served an infection control improvement notice to Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS trust following health inspections. Ms. Janice Stevens is working with England's 10 StHA nursing directors to ensure that the pound 50m boost to infection control is spent to its best advantage.

CMO recommends trust fines for nurse's mistakes
