NTP taps disinfection by-products for study

Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on research studies examining the health aspects of by-products produced in the disinfection of drinking water, which were found to cause cancer in laboratory animals. Categories under scrutiny include carcinogenicity, chemistry, immunotoxicity, neurotoxicity, reproductive toxicity and effects at the molecular level.
