Nurses take a lead in mental health

Article Abstract:

The growing understanding of mental illness has offered opportunities to mental health nurses to develop highly specialized skills and take on greater responsibility for their patients' and clients' treatment. New Dawn service at Cygnet Clinic Beckton, a private acute psychiatric clinic in east London is one such nurse-led service organization that focuses on benefiting patients needing mental health care.

Hypothermia: risk factors and guidelines for nursing care

Hypothermia occurs when heat loss from the body exceeds heat gain and the core temperature of the body falls below 35 degrees centigrade. The nursing management of a patient with hypothermia depends upon the severity of the condition.
