OSHA update

Article Abstract:

The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) reports that 22 states have deficiences regarding safety and health issues. OSHA has given these states six months to comply with state program standards or face possible disapproval of state plans. The reports were released on Jan 31, 1992 and states were given until Mar 1 to file corrective actions. Requests for an evaluation of state plans came after 25 workers died in a fire Sep 3, 1991, at Imperial Food Products in Hamlet, NC.
