Online shopping: why bother?

Teleshoppers distressed at time-consuming and messy Web surfing can calm down now that Web addresses of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors of safety products are getting increasingly available. The right Web addresses of Yahoo Safety Products, Thomas Register, Best's Safety Directory, ISM Network, the Safety Marketing Group, and Power Shopper Product Locator are now out. These locations guide online shoppers to the right product path and permits direct purchasing of products and services needed at the workplace.

Study throws a wrench in back belt use

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the effects on back pain of back belts are discussed. Research into the effects of back belts on back pain is described and back belt designs are examined. It is emphasized that more research is needed before a decision is taken whether back belts affect back pain sufferers.

NIOSH digs deeper to gauge belts' value

Article Abstract:

The results of the research carried out by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in to the role of back belts in preventing back injuries are discussed. It is concluded that wearing back belts at work helps prevent back injuries.
