Overcoming the barriers to using information systems

Article Abstract:

Sharing facilities and varying clinical systems meant that, with the exception of e-mail, the nurses made infrequent use of the applications provided. Despite some access difficulties, community nurses have a positive attitude to IT and would like to receive more training.

Recommendations for leg ulcer care in acute trusts

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken to assess the care and management of leg ulcers in acute trusts. Results showed that the condition required careful handling and the presence of a trained tissue viability nurse was vital besides other recommendation put forth.
