Paying attention to children with hyperactivity disorder

Article Abstract:

Specialist nurses or nurse consultants assess children suffering from attention deficient hyperactivity disorder and use behavioural therapies to treat them, and teach parents how to manage behaviour. They also advise parents and children about pharmaceutical options where these nurses come from backgrounds including school nursing, health visiting, mental health nursing and paediatrics.

Home oxygen services in chaos

Demand for the new home oxygen delivery system has grown with rise in prescriptions form GPs, nurses and other healthcare professionals. However, the respiratory nurses have warned that the home oxygen delivery system could be more expensive for the NHS as the lack of specialist assessment teams has failed to keep prescriptions down.

Are patients paying the price?

Article Abstract:

Nurse-patient relationships are getting affected due to the increasing pressure on the NHS to accommodate more patients in less time, thus hampering patient care. Such increased efficiency, paper work and bureaucracy leave the nurses with very less time to provide proper care and attention to the patient.
