Plan B, reproductive rights and physician activism

Article Abstract:

The need for physician activism in the US is expanding into areas that are tangential to medicine, such as medical insurance, retail corporations and pharmacists who interfere with physicians' responsibility to patients. This need is characterized with reference to national pharmacy chain Wal-Mart's refusal to stock the emergency contraceptive Plan B (levonorgestrel) until forced to do so by a lawsuit filed by a physician and two reproductive-rights organizations.

Incontinence and the duty to provide care

Article Abstract:

The analysis presents the various legal implications that hinder the proper assessment of continence in patients and also supports it by a typical situation faced by a patient. Complaints should be raised in such cases to ensure the implementation of appropriate care to the patients.
