The plant sterol ecdysterone increases training performance and muscle growth and is a safe nutrition supplement. Ecdysterone has been theorized to promote anabolic action on contractile proteins of skeletal muscles and in increasing potassium and calcium ion levels within cells to swell its size.

Steroid ticker terror

Anabolic-androgenic steroid can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease in bodybuilders. Among these are fatal cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction with ventricular tachycardia and venus sinus thrombosis.

Are 'roids really that dangerous?

Sports medicine expert Jose Antonio disputes the claim that anabolic steroids are lethal. Antonio believes that many of the studies cited to support this claim are either misleading or erroneous.
