Maternal Hemoglobin Concentration During Pregnancy and Risk of Stillbirth

Article Abstract:

High blood levels of hemoglobin appears to increase the risk of a stillbirth, according to a study of 702 pregnant women who had a stillbirth and 702 pregnant women who did not. Other researchers have found that low levels of hemoglobin can also adversely affect a pregnancy.

Previous preterm and small-for-gestational-age births and the subsequent risk of stillbirth

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to see if preterm infants are at a high risk of being stillborn. It is found that delivery of a previous small-for-gestational-age infant is an important predictor of the subsequent risk of stillbirth, particularly if the infant was delivered preterm.
