Psoriasis: More than skin deep

Article Abstract:

Psoriasis, an autoimmune disorder of the skin and joints, results from complex, aberrant relationships between the skin and immune system, as well as genetic makeup and factors in the environment. However, targeting signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (Stat3) and other critical links in the disease may improve the outcome of patients afflicted by psoriasis.

Langerhans cell histiocytosis reveals a new IL-17A-dependent pathway of dendritic cell fusion

Article Abstract:

The article discusses Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), a rare disease of unknown etiology. The study of LCH reveals a T cell-specific IL-17A-dependent pathway of dendritic cell fusion that can be targeted for the treatment of various IL-17A-related inflammatory diseases.
