Recalibrating Medicare payments for inpatient care

Article Abstract:

A very significant measure was adopted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on August 1, 2006 of accurately assigning relative payment rates for different services with the relative cost of providing them for inpatient hospital care. The methodology used can be highly effective, though the lack of appropriate policies may lead to the gravitation of the providers towards the medical problems leading to certain dissatisfaction among people.
