Recent alcohol intake as estimated by the Health Habits and History Questionnaire, the Harvard Semiquantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire, and a more detailed alcohol intake questionnaire

Article Abstract:

Three questionnaires used in epidemiological studies to determine a subject's usual alcohol intake are evaluated. The Drinking Pattern Questionnaire showed higher estimates of total alcohol intake than did the less-detailed Health Habits and History Questionnaire or the Harvard Semiquantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire.

Case-control study of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma among women and heterosexual men in the San Francisco Bay Area, California

Article Abstract:

The results of a population-based case-control study of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients are discussed. Exposure to a high number of sexual partners, use of certain medications, and incidence of allergies decreased disease risk and histamine H2-receptor antagonists, while body mass increased risk.
