Asthma sufferers bone up; new therapy provides relief, prevents osteoporosis

Article Abstract:

Oral corticosteroids, a drug for treating severe asthma, can also cause osteoporosis. German researchers have discovered that a combination of calcium, vitamin D and a bone-building drug called didronel can help prevent steroid-induced bone degradation.
