Rosacea: A manageable condition

Article Abstract:

Rosacea is an inflammatory skin condition characterized by chronic redness and irritation of the face, where skin may become overly sensitive, and it most often affects fair-skinned adults between the ages of 30 and 60. In many cases, doctors initially prescribe both oral and topical antibiotics to lessen symptoms, followed by long-term use of a topical antibiotic alone to maintain remission, and treatments such as laser surgery reduce the visibility of blood vessels and remove tissue buildup around the nose.
