Routine vs. selective invasive strategies in patients with acute coronary syndromes: A collaborative meta-analysis of randomized trials

Article Abstract:

A meta-analysis that compares benefits and risks of routine invasive vs. selective invasive strategies is conducted. A routine invasive strategy exceeded a selective invasive strategy in reducing myocardial infarction (MI), severe angina, and rehospitalization over a mean follow-up to 17 months.

"False-positive" cardiac catheterization laboratory activation among patients with suspected ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarcation

Article Abstract:

The study to examine the prevalence, etiology and outcomes of false-positive cardiac catheterization laboratory activation in patients with a suspected ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarcation (STEMI) is conducted. Results confirm the hypothesis based on the definition of false positive.
