Sexual health assessment in a general practice travel clinic

Article Abstract:

Sexual health provision within general practice is inconsistent and dependent on the attitudes and training of practice nurses and they provide holistic and comprehensive travel advice, sexual health, its language and its challenges must be braced and applied in consultation. Thus formal training and shared learning enables to develop core sexual health competencies and it helps to promote the aims of the sexual health strategy, improve care to patients and enhance the skills of the nursing team.

A workshop to maintain resident's mobility and activity

Article Abstract:

The design, content and delivery of the workshop, which was devised to enable staff to learn simple strategies to improve and maintain residentEs mobility and activity, is described. The workshop was aimed to encourage residents' independence when undertaking activity and to create conditions that enable residents to achieve maximum independence in activities of daily living.

Practice nurses could be a big ally for the government in reducing STI's

If provided adequate training and dedicated clinics, practice nurses can be a biggest ally for the government in reducing chlamydia infections and improving sexual health.
