Sick inside: how to heal a sick building

Article Abstract:

Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) is an indoor air quality problem that can be influenced by four factors. These are the heating, ventilating and airconditioning (HVAC) system, the building occupants, possible pollutant pathways and possible contaminant sources. Left unsolved, SBS may cause nausea, headaches, fatigue, dizziness and difficulty in concentration for occupants of the building. Among the solutions to SBS problems are increased ventilation and air distribution, ensuring that HVAC are optimally operated and removing or modifying sources of pollutants.
