Squamous cell carcinoma arising in an oral lichenoid lesion

Article Abstract:

The conversion of oral lichen planus (OLP) to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) has created controversy about the true nature of OLP, and highlights the need to verify its clinical diagnosis histologically. In view of both the common occurrence of OLP and unresolved issues regarding its premalignant potential, the need for histologic confirmation and close follow-up of patients with clinical lesions that have lichenoid features is illustrated.

The clinical significance and management of apical accessory canals in maxillary central incisors

Article Abstract:

Four case reports on the significance of detecting and managing accessory canals in maxillary central incisors are presented. The detection of these canals could lead to successful non-surgical treatment in two cases while in another two cases non-detection led to root canal failure and surgery.
