Article Abstract:

Various facts that are often ignored by women regarding how skin cancer is acquired are presented. Some of these facts include skin is not fully protected during a cloudy weather, people who would burn in 10 minutes must reapply within 150 minutes, and sunburn will not measure skin protection from cancer.

People can protect their skin from the sun by applying sunscreens containing PABA at least 30 minutes before going outside. People require more sun protection when the sun is overhead, the sky is blue, the altitude is high, and the wind is calm.

The cold truth: only year-round sun protection will save your skin

Article Abstract:

People can prevent about 90% of skin cancers by avoiding overexposure to UVB and UVA rays from the sun during the summer as well as the winter. A sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 is necessary.
