Chronic venous insufficiency and leg ulceration

Article Abstract:

A thorough examination and medical history can help establish reasons for leg sore development. Treatment options typically include pressure therapy on the affected leg in order to reduce the leg's underlying high blood pressure and fluid build-up and moist dressings for leg sores to promote healing. An overview of the development, identification, and treatment options of chronic venous insufficiency and accompanying leg sores is presented.
