Barts and The London Trust's award winning one-stop breast care center offers patients a comforting and therapeutic environment and its design owes much to the efforts of its nursing team. It provides up-to-date screening and diagnostic techniques under one roof and the results are obtained within two hours and throughout that time the patients are cared for in a comfortable, reassuring environment surrounded by works of art, attractive furnishings and tasteful decor.

Nurse-administered femoral nerve block after hip fracture

Article Abstract:

The Queen's Medical Centre NHS Trust in Nottingham, which treats more than 700 hip fracture patients each year, has implemented an innovative nurse-administered femoral nerve block service. The effort reveals that a nurse-led service should be available around the clock, to ensure that the greatest number of patients benefit from a femoral nerve block.

BUPA blurs boundaries in a new NHS ward deal
