'The program portrays nursing as an endless string of isolated manual tasks'

Article Abstract:

A discussion is presented on the celebrity television shows about nursing on Channel Five. The program demonstrates lack of professionalism and the concept of responsibility, while learning and making complex clinical decisions has not been featured in the show, creating the impression that nursing is an endless string of isolated manual tasks.

Patients may delay going to A&E for fear of being made to have an HIV test

Article Abstract:

The idea of making HIV testing compulsory for all patients attending the A&E departments is very far-fetched with the repercussion being the fear in patients and hence their delay in visiting the A&E departments and also a major increase in the workload of the already overly loaded medical personnel.
