The testosterone connection

Article Abstract:

Testosterone that is exposed to the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase produces dihydrotestosterone, which causes male pattern baldness. Thinning hair is a normal part of the aging process, which also causes each strand to become finer and weaker.

Gray hairs: facts & fiction

Article Abstract:

It is not true that hair can go gray overnight or that graying can be caused by stress. Premature graying is not a sign of aging. Both heredity and diseases influence changes in hair pigmentation.
