The use and analysis of microarray data

Article Abstract:

The importance of the use and analysis of microarray data is increasing especially in the field of drug discovery, basic research, target discovery, biomarker determination and in other related field, hence it is necessary to understand the different ways and the different methods to analyze sets of microarray data. The sets of microarray data could be analyzed and re-analyzed in many different ways and it is important to recognize the untapped information provided by the microarray data sets.

Looking ahead: some genetic issues of the future

Article Abstract:

One of the more prominent human genetic issues for the future is the development of a non-eugenic approach for the preservation and protection of the human gene pool. The field of molecular genetics, including gene therapy, is also expected to experience significant developments and advances in the future. Geneticists should also look into euphenics which is the conscious effort to structure the environment in the interests of optimizing the expression of the genotype.

Nonconventional genetic systems

Article Abstract:

Medical discoveries in the 1930s and 1940s led to the development of biomedical research involving chromosome theories of inheritance. This led to studies involving heredity phenomena not associated with genes. Research was further conducted on the mechanisms involved in nonconventional genetic inheritance. Results indicate that further studies need to be conducted in the field of nonconventional genetic mechanisms.
