Train temporary workers for continual safety

Article Abstract:

Employers have the responsibility of providing safety training to their employees, even if they are hired temporarily. A 1976 case set a precedent for this when the administrative judge ruled that since the hiring company exposed the worker to the hazard and supervised the employees, it is liable for any work-related injuries that the worker may experience. Supervising employers should also document work-related injuries and illnesses of its temporary workers. A temporary-services firm can only be liable if there was a previous agreement to provide safety training on certain res/ponsibilities.

These organizations have developed safety manuals, safety training seminars and training modules using video systems.
