Trusts must listen to infection control nurses

Article Abstract:

The inquiry into the mishandling of the fatal outbreak of Clostridium difficile at Stoke Mandeville Hospital has concluded that managers ignored the warnings of nurses in order to hit political targets. The report clearly shows errors made by the hospital trust authorities and highlights the poor working conditions for nurses, which left them unable to care for their patients properly.
