Tumors of the Endolymphatic sac in von Hippel-Lindau disease

Article Abstract:

The three cases of von Hippel-Lindau disease, an autosomal dominant syndrome resulting from a germ-line mutation in the VHL gene on chromosome, are used to illustrate the several features of endolymphatic-sac tumors. The results reveal that endolymphatic-sac tumors may reduce the incidence and severity of neurologic dysfunction that is associated with these tumors.

Comparison of MRI and CT for detection of acute intracerebral hemorrhage

Article Abstract:

A comparison of accuracy between Multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Noncontrast computed tomography (CT) for detection of acute intracerebral hemorrhage in patients presenting with acute focal stroke symptoms is described. It is found that MRI is more accurate than CT for detection of chronic intracerebral hemorrhage.
