Variations in Health Insurance Coverage: Benefits vs. Premiums

Article Abstract:

Employment-related insurance coverage and all its ramifications are surveyed for an in-depth report. Legislative proposals are examined in terms of employee benefits with insurance plan choice and with taxation of employer-paid health insurance. Individuals who pay most for health care are concerned with major medical benefits; those with less expensive policies have a deductible for hospital attendance. Counter-balancing the benefits of insurance are the costs of insurance: premium collections, claims payments and administrative expenditures. Without a tax-subsidy, employers would not provide benefits such as dental, vision and hearing treatments. Statistical tables are provided depicting figures for total medical expenditures, premiums, benefits and tax subsidies correlated with family traits, subscriber outlays and health insurance contributions.

Is your environmental insurance right for you?

Article Abstract:

Transactions for a comprehensive environmental insurance protection involve extensive cost-benefit evaluation to enable the buyer to know the bottom line cost of protection. For instance, assessing one's insurance carrier's forms is imperative in avoiding the 2-6% surplus lines taxes imposed on non-admitted insurers for their gross premium. The types of coverage to choose from, the gross premium costs, and pollution coverage must also be considered. The selection of an insurance agent based on his environmental insurance market experience or settling with a specialist is crucial.
