Article Abstract:

Psychometric testing may not mean much to many nurses, but the NMC is proposing it could be useful in screening out unsuitable candidate for nurse training. Psychometric testing, sometimes, known as psychological testing, comes in various forms, but typically involves questionnaire posing a range of questions on all manner of subjects.

A practice nurse in Devon speaks on Hepatitis B, a preventable disease that is transmitted through blood and body fluids and different methods to recovery. In order to address the issue of HBV, now serious consideration is being given to protecting the public as the issue of vaccine safety is raised again.

Paying the price for lifelong learning: new money to suport nurses' CPD is long overdue

Nurses say that proposed funding by the British Department of Health will eliminate one barrier to nurses gaining access to continuing professional education. Nurses still must convince employers to let them have the time off for courses when there are nursing shortages.
