Why 15 million women own guns

Article Abstract:

Women are buying guns for self-protection in increasing numbers, and it is estimated that around 15 million women now own firearms. Although most women gun-owners expressed some ambivalence about owning guns, they said they still felt safer having a weapon in the house.

Drugs in small-town American - and women's lives in chaos

A powerful new type of speed known as crank has invaded the US and is particularly abundant in the Midwest. Women are vulnerable to this drug because of boredom and the dullness of small town life. The drug is highly addictive and has left many devastated.

Saving her life

Article Abstract:

Toni Rachlewicz was in a bad car accident in Jan 1994 and was severely injured. The emergency team that saved her life included a general surgeon, a resident, a trauma case manager and a cardiovascular anesthesiologist.
