Wired for safety

Article Abstract:

Multimedia is now being used by safety and health Web sites, particularly safety-training sites. A full interactive effect with a safety-training site could be achieved using a 28.8 modem, speakers or headphones, a PC-compatible 486 computer, a video and sound card. One of the safety-training interactive sites is the ErgoForum at www.ergoforum.com, which presents RealAudio programs featuring ergonomic specialists discussing repetitive stress disorders and cumulative trauma disorders, among others.

They also feature articles on health hazard evaluations, audiometric testing courses, hearing protection devices, health effects of noise-induced hearing loss, and government hearing conservation programs.
