Women around the world: speak up for safety

Article Abstract:

Women should speak out against unsafe and unhealthy working conditions to make the worldwide workplace a better one for them. Sadly, however, few women workers are aware of their right to a safe and healthy work environment. Majority of women workers prefer to continue working in unsafe workplaces than risk losing their jobs. The UN-sponsored Worldwide Conference on Women slated in the fall of 1995 in Beijing, China, focused on workplace safety for women.
