Women's dietary fat and sugar intakes: implications for food based guidelines

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on how women's dietary data can be used to formulate food based dietary guidelines for fat. The dietary intake data was examined cross-sectionally using the seven-day diet history method. The results indicate that existing dietary data can be used to formulate specific food based dietary guidelines. The results also suggest that diets higher in sugar are not necessarily more dilute in micronutrients.
