Cuticles should be gently pushed back instead of cut because ragged cuticles can invite bacteria. Tips on dealing with nails that are too soft or brittle, white spots, thickened nails, nail psoriasis and other problems are given, and products are recommended.

Good food habits begun early contribute to good health later in life. Women need to eat more fruits and vegetables whether they are in their 20s, 30s or 40s, and also be sure they take in enough calcium. Food practices are described for each age decade.
