Resources available for consultation such as publications, networking, trade shows, catalogs, and the Internet allow shoppers to find the best safety products with ease. The safety industry's biggest trade shows attract about 1,900 exhibitors, presenting thousand of products and drawing almost 23,300 professionals nationwide. Publications provide information on technical manuals and software products, such as the e.NSC. The Internet is also getting popular as a means to look for innovative products, with an expected $327 billion sales output in five years.

Learn the ABCs of PPE

Article Abstract:

The OSHA amended the standards that govern the use of personal-protective equipment (PPE) to reduce the exposure of workers to workplace hazards. These standards require employers to submit to the OSHA a hazards assessment of their plant and to establish an effective PPE program. The OSHA also requires these plants to provide proper attire and equipment to protect their workers from materials and conditions that may leave hazardous effects to their health.
