Article Abstract:

In Dec 1994, Bruton became prime minister in the wake of a scandal involving the previous PM, Albert Reynolds. His life and political career are discussed. Major issues which faced the PM, included relations with Northern Ireland, abolishing of the divorce ban, and access to abortion information.

Rabin, Yitzhak

Article Abstract:

Two-time prime minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated at the hands of a right-wing Israeli on Nov 4, 1995. Rabin shared the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in the peace accords between Israel and Palestine. He had formerly been a military hero and leader of Israel's liberal Labor Party.
