Commercial tenants in individual voluntary arrangement
Article Abstract:
Individuals with debts that cannot be paid despite a profitable business can enter into an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) as an alternative to bankruptcy. With IVA, much of the indebtedness comprises arrears of rent under the commercial lease of the business premises. Initially a moratorium order must be obtained aimed at freezing all creditors' rights, and a scheme is then put to an insolvency practitioner.

Ecological gardener and activist Diana Beresford-Kroeger applies the concept of bioplanning in her gardening. The concept pertains to an approach to gardening where planting is done to preserve life. Thus, she develops her garden in ways that will attract beneficial insects, birds and amphibians.
